Indianapolis Family Photographer
Ken Floyd Media photographs family sessions in Indianapolis and central Indiana. In the studio, that means a black backdrop and warm, directional light for portraits with real weight. On location, it means the park, the backyard, or wherever your family actually spends its time.
The people, not the poses
Family portraits that feel like your family.
Stiff group photos get taken once and never printed. We keep family sessions loose: a few anchored portraits for the wall, then room for kids to be kids while the camera keeps working. Some of the best frames land in the gaps between the posed ones, and we shoot for those on purpose. The light does the polishing; your family just has to show up.
Family sessions sit alongside maternity and personal branding in our portrait photography, so the same editorial eye runs through all of it.
Studio or location
Two looks, one standard.
The studio look is dramatic: a black backdrop, warm directional light, and portraits that read like they belong in a frame, not a feed. The location look is lighter and candid, built around real places and natural light. Both get the same eye and the same standard, so pick the one that sounds like your family, or ask about the light and we will point you to the right fit.
Not sure which way to go? Send a note through the contact form with the ages in your crew and the walls you want to fill, and we will point you to the light that fits.
